Yeah I saw the thread at the top but I think this is worthy of it's own thread. Basically I'm 16 and I live in SC. I managed to buy myself a 1994 540i bmw auto and I love it to death but it's the biggest money pit you could ever imagine and it already has 170,000 miles. So as of lately I've been car searching and have absolutely decided that the 240sx it going to be my next purchase. I'm not sure whether to sell my bimmer or save up So anyways I'm looking anywhere from a 1990-1993 240sx and was wondering if that's where I should start. Anything I should know before I go out and get one? On a side note I can't really decide whether I want the hatch or the coupe. That's just a matter or personal preference I guess cause I've seen what looks like a fair share of both on here.

You seem to be looking at a image in your search for 240's. "Slammed 240s with 5 points after picking up my japenese gf right after I dorifto for a bit" Wtf man? Stop trying so hard. Do what you want cause you like it, not because of the hype. I don't think Nissans are right for you at your current mindset in life. Try Hondas. KTHXBIIIYE

I think I posted that wrong. So lets start over. To the other guy I'm not saying ricers are drifters and theres a fine difference. I want your guy's help on parts choices so I don't make this a ricer. Because there's a fine difference between (no offense) phony 3 piece asa wheels and the real bbs's. And I didn't mean it like I want to pick up girls in this like some tokyo drift thing, i mean i'd like to keep it inbetween so it'd be good for both track and street. I don't picture this thing to have a huge a** widebody molded bumpers with some crazy dragon vinyl's cause that's not my thing. I didn't mean for it to come off likke that.

No no no... You've got it backwards... You DO want to pick up girls in it. Therefore, keep your mods clean and tasteful. Girls don't wanna ride around in a car that looks like a giant Hot-Wheels toy.

Head over to the "Best Looking S13 Ever" thread and Rimtuck.com for styling ideas. Once you have a basis for what you want your style to be, then come back with your questions.

Oh and as a foregone thought... please insure that your 240 is in fine mechanical condition before you start modifying it....

BTW... I'd keep the Bimmer as a daily driver and have the 240 as a project/toy, if I were you...

I was actually just deciding that I'd keep the bimmer but I think I'd be done with it as far as mods go and really get focused on saving for an s13. I think I looked at the thread you recommended but idk i've been living on these forums for the last few hours having my mind boggled over some of these build threads currently blackzenkis which is sick so far. NEver heard of rimtuck but ill check it out for sure.

Just checked it out and i like id# 757 so far. It will fit in the driveway too in front of the bimmer. And yeah I'm definitely going to replace what needs to be replaced before I start thinking I'll be hot s*** in an s13

well bro once you have the funds and decide for sure you are ready to pick up a 240 let me know and i can help point you in a good direction as to where to find what you want. theres always 240's for sell around the columbia area. im going to go ahead and let you know that if you want a coupe be ready to pay more for one than you would a hatch because coupes seem to be pretty hard to find in SC and tend to have a higher asking price. be sure to check out carolinanissans.com and 240atlanta.com as well as the classified ads on here and i can keep an eye out for you here around the Columbia area.

I've never been a hatch person but for some reason I love the hatch s13's and that's for sure what I want. Also I'm going to keep the bimmer so I need to start saving now. And how much power can I expect to get from one? If you haven't checked it out yet stop by at SCAutos.net We're just trying to get a good group of sc guys together.

Will do. I'm pretty bummed that I just found a hatchback for cheap and and SR20DET but I don't have the funds at the moment.......

Once I get everything running up to par, I need some suggestions on performance upgrades. Any ideas?

Nah I'm just going to keep the bimmer too. I mean I'm still in highschool so I don't need to pay bills or loans or anything I can just focus my money on the s13.

How are the jwt pop chargers for these? I heard they're good for the 350z.
