Hello everyone. I've been reading on this site for a good while now and decided i'd make an account and introduce myself.

Last summer I bought an 89 s13 with a ka24de swap in it, with plans of making into a project car and weekend fun car. I soon realized that i didn't know what I had gotten myself into at the time because the car had been a slut to who knows how many owners and alot of the work was half assed.

89 240chuki front bumperka24de127k miles on chassissupposedly 8x,xxx on engine but highly unlikely

Simple mods were:-s14 seats/seatbelts-s14 radiator-intake-custom exhaust-walbro 255-b&m shifter

Pictures of the S13

After a while i got sick of dealing with it because new problems kept coming up from previous owners doing stupid work in the past, so I started looking for a new 240. After working and saving all i could, and a little extra from student grants, I decided to get this which is my current car and daily driver....

98 Kouki with 86k miles on g35 wheels

unfortunately it's an automatic , but hopefully i'll be changing that once i get some money and then getting some coilovers.

Once i bought this i sold the s13 so i wouldnt have to deal with it anymore.

That's about all folks

Thanks man. The wheels came like that with the car. I didn't like it much at first, but they're starting to grow on me lol.

mmmm... cleann kouki!

i like the green on gold. my first car (GSR) rocked that scheme too. reminds me a lot of it.

if your car was lower, it would already look so good.

Thanks everyone. Yeah the 5 speed swap is my first priority, I should be able to afford it in about a month, then comes the coils and i need an lsd because my car didn't come with the abs/lsd package even though it's an SE.

Thanks everyone. Anyone know what the best brand of coilovers would be for daily driving? This car is gonna remain my daily driver and i want some coils that dont feel too stiff.

For daily driver I would use shock and spring combo. I love my stance coilovers but at full soft I can tell they are for more sporty driving. Also spending $1100 on suspension is not a good idea for a car that will never be tracked. I'm sure there are affordable comfortable coilovers out there if your dead set on coils but I never looked into them as I plan on tracking my car 1 to 2 times a month for as long as I can afford it.

lol i have no idea man. i've noticed it too before but all i know is that it's not there anymore.

and the only track i might ever go to would be the 1/8 or 1/4 mile because eventually i wanna go ka-t. not any time soon though, maybe like a year away.

Don't own them yet but there was just a thread a little while ago about the Godspeeds (egay) that were just installed and seemed to be pretty good for the money. Couple people chimmed in and a few

Most coilovers are too stiff for drag. HKS makes some good drag coilovers. I'm sure they use the best valving and spring rates for drag racing. Godspeed makes good intercoolers ( I use one, its heavy tho ) , but parts that have moving parts that must last threw alot of abuse must be of high quality or they are more likely to have a short lifespan. Don't cheep out on parts that should have tight tolerances and made of high quality materials.

Yeah i read some of the reviews for the godspeeds when I was looking for some for my s13. I don't think i wanna cheap out on coils lol. I'm thinkin hks, tanabe, tein,or stance. I may see about finding a good set of used ones locally if i can.
