The top one definitely looks shopped but the second... hmmm. I want to say it is too, and it's definitely a dang good job if it is. Anyhow, I too, can not wait until it finally comes out.

Get into college and get one drive? If he owns a dealership, he should be able to hook you up with one....

More and more GTRs have been spotted all over the united states. Now what I think is they are trying to tell us something, they are trying to show us a message. This message can only be one thing, that the end of the world is very close.

NISSAN is performing street tests in various climate to prove road worthiness.

Since, NISSAN has hyped, hyped and overhyped this car, NISSAN does not want to miss any small issues.

DOT,with all of the other issues with the R32-R34s are keeping a watchful eye on US testing of this vehicle.

I do know where the first 2 R35s were located and why.

What I am telling you is inside info.

Natually, there is some marketing hype, but NISSAN is being very careful: if the R35 does not produce adequate performance to compete with the 'vettts, Vipers and Saleens, NiSSAN is in deep you know what!

I thought the G35 was the R35 and this Skyline was going to be the R36??? Also, where are you getting all of your information from to support all of your inside info.?

Come on fellas' we know better than this....

The R35 is the current version of the skyline available in Japan. There is no GTR version available (unless your Smokey from Top Secret and you make your own).

The "North American skyline" is named simply...the GTR. It has no skyline reference what-so-ever (i.e R36, etc.). It is a completely new model. If it was to be a Skyline, I would imagine that it would be called an R36...but it will not be.

Either way, it's shaping up to be a fantastic vehicle, even if none of my local dealerships have any idea about it...

There are some of us that are still learning. LOL... I knew I was not the only one that knew the R35 was out. LOL...

How about a wanna-be Skyline? There's some kid driving around Brentwood w/what I thought was a great looking black G35 w/some nice black wheels. Then I saw he had badges on the back, atleast they were correct for the model.

Skyline 350GT

Yes, exactly, the current G35/Skyline is the V35 chassis.

The R35 chassis is the new GTR.

I don't think that's true. That looks like a reflection off the ceiling lights of the gas station to me.

And plus, this pic was posted on NICO before, and I think the photographer actually posted as well.

Firstly, this R35 is a GT-R NOT a Skyline. The Skylne is the G35 in Japan.

About my inside infomation; would't be too inside if I told you now, would it?

Besides, I don't betray confidences.

Have I posted any incorrect information?

Stay tuned, I'll give info when it is proper to do so.

You are being pretty mysterious for a person who apparently owns a "200SX [Sylvia]". What is that, exactly? Did your "inside information" tip you off that we've been spelling it wrong this whole time?

It can be spelled either way; mostly you are correct, though, so in the interest of consistency in this the Forum, I will change to the more common name.

What is a 200ZX(Silvia], you ask?

Take as SR20DET,

add a Pulsar Turbo Maniforld,

install 615cc/min Nismo Injectors[using a B13 fuel rail],

install 290/293 cams with "tuned springs"

install GT28RS turbo with fabricated downpipe, custom plumbing into a front mounted 21"x 7" x 3" Intercooler,

use a Ford COBRA MAF, reprogram the "Qa table",

remap the fuel and timing curves, as well as changing speed, rev limiter and injector scaling in the original ECU.[Know how to do that?] while on a Dyna-Pack Dynomometer,

replace all the gears/synchros in the SE-R transmission with "shot peined" and cryogenically treated ones,

weld the upper left portion of the transmisssin case, so it won't crack which the stock one will eventually do with over 250 bhp.

convert to JDM LSD, for eqaulized drive shaft lenghts to reduce "torque steer"

Use 235x15x45 Nitto tires.

Install an Aluminum Flywheel with a 400kg center force pressure plate with dual composite clutch disk,

crank the boost up to 16psi on pump gas, and you have a 310 whp.

Place a dynamically switchable map[switch mounted on ECU access cover] in the ECU[descibed above], which will allow 21psi and 360whp on half C16and half pump gas.

Now you have a 200SX(Silvia)[Curb Weight 2550 pounds]

Basically, a trick up SR20 Motor mounted transversly into a FWD.

Any more questions?

Upon thinking about this, you are correct in the fact that a FWD should not be called a Silvia[Sylvia]

I am changing the designation of my 200SX to something more appropriate.

Thanks for the reminder.

Since you brought it up, and I was not very specific about the Mustangs,[good catch on your part!] the Mustangs that I referred to were the ROUCH type or the SALEENS with the positive displacement Superchargers.

They make about 500 to 550 bhp which, with 20% driveline loss, is about 400 to 410 whp.

At 3500 pounds average curb weight, the GT-R of 2008/2009 had better be able to compete, which they really should[AWD, ATTESA can make any whp perform outstandingly!]

I wish the new GT-R well.

I plan on getting a test drive by taking my FED R32 to a dealer to ask to see:" Is his new GT-R comperable?"

I have a good contact that can pretty much guaranty a test drive on the first one in my area[ I hope!]

Talk to you all soon; good and safe driving!

I didn't ask. Well, at least not that.
Carkeeper wrote:Basically, a trick up SR20 Motor mounted transversly into a FWD.
Or you could just get a JDM transverse SR20DE that came in the Bluebird SSS, and put a turbo on it.

What are you so angry about?

Sylvia is a spelling mostly used in Australia, New Zealand, UK and some in Japan[Look up Silvia in "Google."]

Yes, you could get a Bluebird SSS and put a different Turbo on it, so what is your point?

If you are still pissed that I have inside contacts, pick your friends more wisely.

If you would like to continue this discussion in a more civil manner, I will be most willing, if you still act pissed off, forget it, I got better things to do.

Not sure why you think I'm "pissed". I only answer your questions.
