OK i know its early in the game and i dont own a GTR yet, But im wondering if any company/anyone in general is thinking about swapping an RB26DETT into their beloved new skyline, Im sure it would suck your life away just doing the wiring for it all but i just want some updates, I dont want all the people being like look at the amazing motor you get...noo thats not the point its the fact that you would be the only one to do it!

Can you say budget breaker! Let me know what you think yay! OR nay!

For all intents and purposes, the VQ38DETT in that thing is far better than the RB26. Give it about two to three years and people will have that engine in quad digits in no time.

I love the RB, but it's a dated motor, not obsolete, just old. For all the technology the R35 has in it, the motor is stout and produces enough power as it is, STOCK.

It would be an absolute waste of money to drop an RB in to that car at this moment in time.

*This is all my opinion and in no way is true to what others may or may not believe. Take this as you will*

And personally i think your 100% true on that! But as i stated before that they do it cause its unique and usually their the only one that usually do these swaps just like their Widebody Supra with the 3sgte motor in it, And we all sure as hell know that, the 3sgte motor is not even close to as good as the 2jzgte...

at the very least, a rb26 in one of the new gtr's would look better in my opinion, the 38dett just doesn't do it for me in the looks department, looks like a big mess

I agree it looks like a mocked up VQ, I do think the rb26 would look sick in the new r35! I just hopes someone does it that has alot of money!

i think if someone did that.. they should put the r35 motor in a CRX lol.... jk

i have no opinion on this topic really... after seeing the car pushed on BMI,, its a winner for sure.. but i have no desire for it even if i had the money.

ps

topsecret would probably drop a RB30 in and or a 2j lol that darn smokey

I wonder if anyone's gonna pull the VQ38 and putt in a 240 or even an older gen GT-R. Now that would be interesting.

Yea. the vq38 is a better engine than the rb26, don't know why anyone would ever do that.

What r the dimensions on the VQ38dett? Is it possible to drop it into an s-chassis, from pics that I've seen it looks like it wont even fit. IMO
