Ok fellas, I hope bat's not too pissed about this, but I know you guys have been waiting to see the pics... here are a few pics I took... I'll upload some additional side shots and angled shots when I get a chance... if you like these, Bat should start offering them soon, if you don't like em... well, too bad

With Black centerR... I didn't like this, so I left it off,

MORE w/out Black center...

interesting design... although the 2 separator bars where the 3 strips go seem slightly uneven/ or even stuck on top overlay? maybe its just a bad shot...

Robert and I are switching tail lights in a week and taking shots to see the contrast on a darker car

there are relief cuts in the overlays... you must do relief cuts in order for the vinly to lay correctly when you have openings...

as far as the overlap of the stripes, yeah I noticed them also... I think he did them like that to ensure a water tight seal. You don't really want them stopping just before they reach the black part, that would look bad also, there really isn't any other way around it...but if you want, you can def cut this a bit as you're doing the install..

as far as the overall look, I don't expect 100% of the folks to like them, nor do I really care if you like them or not... folks wanted to see what they look like, so I posted em, if you like em, hit up Bat, if not.. cool, don't get em, or better yet, design your own...

I had the 6/10 clear vinyl overlays on before these, and I like these WAAAAYYY better than the clear vinyl overlays...

at first, I was back and forth about em, but after washing the car, and installing Bat's GTR headlight overlays, I absolutely LOVE the Satin black look on the tails... again, if you don't like em, don't get em!

Blake, I purchased two sets of front headlight GTR overlays, but I don't think I'm gonna install the second set... do you wanna take em off my hands? I'll let em go for cheap!

Yeeaaaaa. I like this Satin black look over the ones I have. However, I'm not digging the bars. I want the regular GTR but in the satin matte finish. That would be hot.

Does the light still shine though when you press the brake?

the bars are there to emphasize the rectangle slits that we have for the brake lights... as far as it shining through when you hit the brakes, I'm not sure what you mean... there's a giant circular cutout for the brake light

I think he was asking if the light shined threw the vinal areas, I guessing it doesn't...

It looks OK, I liked your older version better.....

uhhh I dont think the bars are uneven if you look at them closely they match up with the cutout, so they end with a circular pattern no?

Something like this

Nice overlay rjdmmfl1. Looks Great!!!

What I would like to know if Mr Bat does custom orders? I really like Mcheddadi's all LED markup and would love to have that on my Blue Car.

cool, no problem, just thought I'd throw it out there at ya... the black inside looks nice, but for me, after messing up a few installs myself, I just can't see myself opening this thing up with the potential to mess up a $700 headlight...

If I can find one at a junkyard, then I'm on it!!!!
longbeachcoupe wrote: blackouts or these... idk... the install alone makes me almost rule these out...
well bat's installer told me that the satin black vinyl is easir to work with than the clear vinyl... but all of those relief cuts reuire some fine manipulation

you would have to ask Bat about that... you would probably need to do the tracings yourself, and send it to him....

I know for sure that Bat was NOT a fan of the fake LED cutout look on the A/C.. and with all of his orders that he does, I don't know if he'd be willing to do it.. but I won't speak for Bat, hit him up!

Remember folks, this satin black look is the look that I wanted, that's why I had it done this way... you can always hit up Bat and see if he'd be willing to do some other designs for the A/C in other materials (i.e. Gloss black vinyl, or the clear vinyl)

Lol, I'm stupid.

But I mean since the GTR style I have doens't have the cut out for the turn signal... would the light shine through the matte black vinyl that you have?
