Calling a Mustang a GT-R is like calling a Pontiac a GTO.

Both names are plagarized from the original automobiles that bore them, and the copies are exactly only that - fakes.

uhm. . at least Pontiac made the GTO in the first place.I don't recall a Mustang GT-R

Holden Monara > Pontaic GTO, anyway. . if I was forced to drive a new GTO, I'd swap the front end. . rice or not, it looks ten times better than our gayed-up pontiac version.

Dammnit! i wish i had my camera when i saw that Ranger GT-R! My dad and i we're driving somewhere and i looked over and a bit of red caught my eye. "oh, oh no, dont tell me..." sure enough, the dumb bastard in this older, slightly lifted, chromed out with big antennas Ranger had some GT-R badges on the side. I wanted to hit him and his stupid truck so bad, or at least drive up next to him with a real GT-R and show him how its done.

Yes Dan, its about damn time you posted those pics I took with your camera. That guy was such a tool, lol. He had no clue what he was talking about and the funny thing was it was even a v6 if I remember correctly and he talked so much smack about that car. "I get some many looks in this car.....blah blah blah blah". Too bad he dosen't realize why everyone is truly looking at him (cause he is a freaking moron, lol).

The problem is, is you need to TELL HIM these remarks instead of just think of about them. It would be hilarious to try to see him comeback at that.

There are GTR mustang threads on lots of boards right now.I did some research and couldn't find anything fro FORD about a GT-R mustang but I did find several aftermarket places that are selling GT-R packages for the mustang.I would guess that a small % of the GT-R badged mustangs spotted have any performance upgrades. The people putting them on are mocking the Mustang upgrades not the Skyline but mocking is mocking so they are still lame.

There are a couple GT-R mustags around here too, of course. If it is safe for my sake, I *will* rip it off. But, you can't really rip it off when you are driving along side of them.

I think you're right, GTO was the Mitsu 3000GT, which definitely wasnt around back in the day.

It wouldn't be so bad if they used another type of GT-R badge, but all the ones I see are the ones from the skyline.

I can only remember to mustangs with an R in the name, those being the GT500KR(probably the baddest ever) and the Cobra-R

people who put GT-R emblems on them are huge jackasses, and the ones that put them on civics too!

APC can rot in hell, I'll buy my clear corners elsewhere!

The Pontiac GTO was originally named after the race, which I can't remember the name right now, but I believe Ferrari actually built a GTO before Pontiac
