Funny story.

A tuning shop based in Utah, that builds craparoos decided to purchase a GTR in hopes to make it a track car. It is the RHD japan version, they payed over $250,000 to get this car into the US.

They can't get past the speed limiter. Even at tracks, because the GPS is setup for tracks where the car has been released.

The only thing they have managed to "mod" is the wheels.

Currently they are begging Nissan for a USDM ECU, or atleast some tuning package to remove the ECU's protections from modification...Nissan gave a big fat thumbs down.

They have had this car for a month, hoping to get a headstart with the track car, alas it won't happen.

Lesson learned I suppose.

There's a 3 in the US with a couple more on the way. I know most paid about 100k, but nothing over 200k.

Why not just send the ECU to mines and have the crack it?

Nope. I'll give you a hint. They race subaru's, they always finish 3rd-4th. On time attack. Last years project was a all carbon-fiber body STi in which they tried to swap an h6 in it, did a horrible job and then someone total'd the car.
