I noticed that greddy has released a new boost controller thats supposed to be liek the original profec b, not the spec II that eveyrone bitched about. any thoughts on this? I was just gonna use the turbo XS dual stage mbc on the recommendation of WD, but I'm curious about the more inexpensive electronic boost controllers.

Buy a cheap mbc, I use and love the Joe P MBC, and see if you get creep. You can always upgrade to an electronic one if that doesn't work well for you and you will have only lost out on about $40, not counting money from reselling it.

Does anyone have any experience with the dawesdevices boost controller? Seems to be a cheaper alternative to the turboxs setup, but you can't even email them to ask questions. You can send them your money though.....

Greddy profec S is what your talking about. Awesome boost controller but priced about the same as the profec b spec II.

How much does e-boost go for? I was always wary of dumping $250+ into a freakin' boost controller.

I found a couple prices $466.65, it only holds 40psi though. the 60 psi model is $534.65, if 40 isn't enough, ehm.nice looking product for sure

$150 for a mbc and autometer boost gauge? WHAT!!?????? autometer boost gauge = $50, mbc = $50, tops as long as you're not buying the dual stage turbo xs mbc or something similar.... those things are $200+

if you're getting a regular old mbc just get a $10 one... it does the same thing as a $40 one... but if you want that dual stage one, there is no $10 model of that one.

A nice EBC will help you spool faster by holding the wastegate closed until the desired pressure level is reached...

I went the EBC direction because I read a lot of Post's that had an MBC and blew the engine... Even the mighty Ivan fell prone to the MBC.

You mean this one? World of difference over the "digital" unit (ie: easier to use). I am currently installing this unit with the full auto timer and my EMS stand-alone. Ran into some head problems that are currently being resolved at the machine shop now. I work so damn much that it takes me 2 days just to do an oil change ... ... so you can imagine the down time when major issues occur.

I have the blitz sbc id... love it especially the choice between graph/digital display so I can look at my boost level in form of graphic... worth every dollar IMO... eliminate the need for a eletronic boost gauge which cost about 120$+ anyways

Well, the laptop was only used for tuning the e-Manage I had in the car before. Boost control was accomplished with an APEX'i AVC-R boost controller ... too damn complicated even for me. I like simplicity when it comes to performance control. I opted for the GReddy soley due to past reliability and stability. The AVC-R I was using was from an older car I had that never saw the street (I ended up parting it out), but I kept the unit to try in this car ... ending up selling it (ACR-R).

I bought your AVC-R it will be installed in my car shortly. My friend uses the old Profec A. Hard to find one not overpriced.
