So I went to the track this Sunday, and got to finally run the car since its been swapped.

Its a bone stock RB25 swap
Freddy Mani
FMIC
Yamamoto Tuned ECU
McKinney Mounts/DS
STOCK 7psi Boost
Mickey Thompson ET Streets

Now this is also Colorado, and the track is at a 5900 foot elevation, so I think my times are damn good for the car being what it is.

BTW you guys might have seen me post this Grand Prix before

13.203 @ 103.54mph, car is a blast for what it is

And I got some Nex coilovers on the car. The rear end sits so high because of the profile on the drag radials, but once I get the stockers back on ill adjust accordingly....

Sweet, what happened off the line? lol, sounded like you bogged really bad. What clutch are you running?

Looks clean though! Keep up the good work! What are your plans for the motor?

It actually wasnt bogging as bad as it sounds, that was more of the clutch slipping from the traction of the ET's and such a high RPM launch, thats a stock s*** clutch for ya.

Going to order a new one here pretty soon before this baby goes on :)

Nice, what kind of power are you ultimately looking to get out of it? Plan on mostly dragging it?

Hoping the new turbo set up will get me around 500-550whp.

Planning on just dragging and the occasional road course here out at High Plains Raceway

That's a pretty fast GTP. Also, do you have traction issues so bad you have to slip the clutch that much?

That wasnt slipping the clutch. These same drag radials pulled a 1.7 on a friends car no traction issues.

That was just straight up dumping it from 6000rpm, and it slipping on its own, lol. It was the only was to get better then a 2.1 60', and it only bogged a tiny bit.

Got an ACT 6 Puck on the way

And the Grand Prix, its not even a GTP, its a GT. Originally came with an N/A 3800 V6, then he supercharged that, blew it up, then he got a newer 2004 motor out of the new GTP, built that along with a fully built trans, and 12's here he comes. Still got 3 more pulley sizes to drop, and plans on twin charging next year.

Anthony, I plan on coming to the very next one, which is May 15th correct?

I replaced every gasket on the motor before I pu it in this car, so that part is done.

But im also going to put in a new HG with some ARP hardware, among other small things.

Also getting AEM EMS first week of June

good deal man, i would recommend getting the replacement crank collar from rawbrokerage along with an N1 pump or something bc pretty sure your gonna be hitting that rev limiter some with the power range you are looking for and it would be shame to see it tear itself apart

How hard is the collar to install with the motor in the car?

My first car was a GTP, LOVE that car. 3800 is one of the BEST motors GM has ever produced.

hard.

If i was to do the install i would do a leak down test and then pull the motor to pursue the maintance, while its out i would check the bearings also if not done so already.

becareful putting that much HP to a factory RB, they are not overbuilt from the factory you know, so you wanna make sure what you have is ready to take on what your wanting to throw at it and i'm not trying to be a book worm or anything broskie, jus an average joe expressing thoughts with you.
