Ok so I went from a BMW 330 to an Infiniti G37x that I just picked up about a month ago and I am looking for some pointers and have some questions. Most of them are about mods and performance parts so I thought this would be the best place to post.

My first question is, are there specific sites for performance mods for Infinitis? BMW had a couple of Bavarian sites that I used to use and I know nothing about Infinitis and the parts availablity.

Which brings me to my second question, BMW had Bimmer Magazine which offered BMW news and other misc information, is there an Infiniti version of this?

What are some of your guys favorite mods? I was looking at the stance and I definitely think it needs coil overs and needs to be lowered a bit... any other suggestions? I guess once I know some good sites this will be easy to look up.

My last real question is in regards to the IPOD intergration. I have an IPOD touch with the 3.1.2 firmware and it has a lot of trouble working with the adapter. When I showed the dealer they said it was because Apple upgraded their firmware and now their system is not 100% compatable including the charging. So I found the Scosche passport adapter but even with that it does not always work and sometimes I still have to start the music on the ipod before it will recognize it. Does anyone know how to properly fix this issue or is it something I have to live with?

Thanks so much everyone!!!

Welcome TO THE G FAMILY ... & i GOTTA say, congrats on the upgrade from the bmw! If you look to the right of the screen, there are some NICO sponsors..Click the link and check em out, after all thier the reason NICO has been able to continue...besides that, im not big on mods, but im sure someone on here will be able to help you out with that.... Couple pointers i learned the first couple weeks i had my G...Alotta POWER .. the back end can slide out easily , the service advisors at infiniti dont always know what their talking about, this forums actually been alot more helpful. ..But besides that, ENJOY P.S. http://forums.g35club.org/zeroforum?id=266

Check out my sig for the G-Series FAQ. It has tons of info on the car, plus links to aftermarket sites.

Welcome!

Welcome to NICO

The only Nissan/Infiniti magazine is Nissan Sport Mag.

http://nissansportmag.nicoclub.com/

Unfortunately the main NSM site is down as they are still trying to rebuild from a cyber attack a few months back but the link above is their official online forums.

Hey thanks guys. I just hit my break in period and got a couple of good runs out on the streets and wow this car is going to be a lot of fun. I am still having the issue with the IPOD thing and it is absolutely pissing me off at this point. I am flying out of town this weekend but I am going to try to do some research to figure it out.

I am pretty decided that i want to bring the car down a bit and will look at the coilovers and see what everyone else is using. Not really sure what else I want to do from there so if you guys ever have suggestions please let me know. I have thought about turbos and even a little weight reduction through use of CF but not sure what if anything I really am set on. Keep the ideas and help coming as I think Infiniti might be my new home and BMW will fall to the way side. Also are there any meet ups? I am moving back to the LA, CA area and want to get into a car club and talk cars so if you guys have something similar to what E46fanatics have that would be sweet.

PM me or just respond back.

Thanks

Whatever the issue is with the ipod it's not simply due to the latest firmware. I have the same issue with mine not playing most of the time unless I start a song first. It's an old 2GB nano that has not been updated in a long time.
