new G37 owner! :D

hello people. i was fortunate enough to win 97 thousand dollars in the florida lottery recently. what kind of car did i buy? a cherry red 2008 G37 fully loaded with only 18k miles!! my previous car was decent, 2003 acura 3.2 cl type-S... but of course the G37 blows it away. any tips any veteran G37 owners can give? one question i have is... when i start her up for the first time of the day, the rpms idle at like 1 and a half and it is much louder than any other start up during the day. is this normal? i am not used to driving a car of this caliber so there are a few things which seem weird to me but also seem like they might be normal i feel b/c i have not owned a car such as this before. it drives like a dream and only has 18k miles with factory warranty + extended warranty so i'm sure i'm fine. jus makin sure!

The startup is normal esp when its a little colder outside. WElcome to the club.

Welcome to NICO! Congrats on winning the lottery!

The G37's do startup louder the first time of the day, especially after sitting all night. If it's too loud, you can change the oil using Nissan's "ester oil". It's expensive, but its supposed to quiet startups.

When the car is started 1st thing in the morning the engine is setup to warm the cat's as fast as possible, thus, it is much noisier than a warm start.
