Hey Guys,

It's been a while, but I'm at a point where I'm considering either a new G37x to replace my current 2009 G37x, or if I should just keep it and do an Uprev tune. I haven't been keeping up with the changes on the G37, so I wasn't sure if there would be a benefit to getting a new model (new features?), or if the Uprev tune will reinvigorate my interest in her again (buying negligee for your girl?).

The tuner listed on the Uprev site has a site that's not loading (http://www.akumamotorsports.com/), but I suppose I'd be looking for opinions on a few local shops in NJ/PA as well...

Rgds,
Paul

the 2010-2013 G37 are all the same car... minus a couple of interior trim options, software updates, more current Navigation map, different light bulbs... i mean its so minor.

since you coming from a 2009 G37x, the only thing you get going to a 2010-2013 G is upgraded Navi/display screen graphics, different front and back facia. (mainly noted the fog lights are now integrated into the front spolier instead of headlight housing). the center console is slightly different style/shape... mainley noticable is cup holders position. A/V rca plugs are gone in 2010, as well as the CompacFlash slot, and different style rims. thats all the minor changes i can think off the top of my head going from 2009 to 2010-2013 G37.

So my short answer is keep your car LOL and tune it, or go for the new 2014 Q50.

Thanks for that info. I was thinking the Uprev and the R2C intake but that's about it. I'm hoping it will buy me another 2 years of satisfaction. I never got the Nav package because there seemed to be a number of folks complaining about it on the various boards, and I don't believe there was a Bluetooth music streaming option. Google Maps mobile has become one of my best friends.

The G has been the best value option for the past decade IMO. So, fingers crossed that the Q50 isnt a dog for the price. Once we start hitting that $50k territory, the Audi S4 and the 335ix start looking pretty good. EDIT: Scratch that, it looks like the Q50 is coming in UNDER the cost of a G37, interesting.

id add a exhaust before i did a tune... and if its legal where you live do some High flow cats also before you tune your car. I have never heard anything bad about Urev.

yep its priced under at moment ... once Q50 stock becomes high the G37s prices are going to dive. i also read they will continue production of the G37 for a while longer.

R2C and hi-flow cats would help. Uprev next. Check out tunerzstore.com for parts, I highly suggest them.
