Hi Everyone,

I've been a Maxima owner for over 10 years and I decided to treat myself to a G37 Coupe last night. It's fully loaded, black on black, and I love it!!

I've never driven a G before this one so I'm not sure if this is normal but the G feels kind of heavy at lower speeds. The only way I can describe it is that it almost feels like the parking brake is on (trust me I checked, it's not). And when I take my foot of the gas before a stoplight it seems to decelerate pretty quickly even without applying the brake. At higher speeds I don't notice this.

I've read that the G37 is a heavy car. So to you veterans, is this normal for the G? Or do I need to have it looked at? Thanks! And just to clarify, I'm not complaining. I'm used to Maximas so I have no idea if this is just normal for the G. I hope it is because I don't want to have to take it in. I'd rather be driving it

Joe

Welcome to NICO Joe. Actually this is normal as the trans will downshift when you slow down. There is a TCM regarding this. See the link below for additional info. http://forums.g37driver.com/zerothread/449129

Just had my new G37 serviced to fix this problem. It seems much better now!

Welcome....and may I say you have great taste in cars.

It took me a while to get used to the transmission on my car, mostly because I have always driven manual trannys. You will get used to it and love it, I promise.

I got my G37XS a week ago and sometimes notice the transmission slowing the car down during coasting. I don't have a problem with that but wonder if the TSB had been applied to my car. My dealer moves them pretty fast so I don't think its been on the lot too long..

Love the car!

Thank you for the replies, everyone. I feel a lot better now. I'll have them apply the TSB when I get my oil changed.

08.black.G37, yep black-on-black just makes this car super sexy
