Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum and new to the Nissan/Infiniti performance cars. I just picked up a nice '04 G35x with 137K miles for $4,500. It looks to be well cared for. Found about $2,500 in recent receipts in the glove box. The serpentine belt, new battery, new tires, camshaft sensors and exhaust were all replaced in the last year.Interior is good. There's a minor issue in the trunk area where the shocks connect to the rain channels have all corroded and allowed water to get into the trunk area. I'm going to try and remove those pins, wire brush it and then treat it with some Rust Oleum. I'll seal the area with silicone once that cures.

Other than that everything works and runs well and the new exhaust has a nice sound to it when you run through the gears.

Awesome! Welcome to the club. I remember when those cars were new and just came out. Great platform.

Don't use silicone, you'll be better off with an autobody grade seam sealer.
