Hey guys, I recently purchased a 06 G35 6MT sedan and was wanting to do modest performance upgrades. I am new to performance motoring and just really wanted to do some very simple bolt on mods to start. I ws thinking a K@N intake kit. For $200, they advertise this will increase about 5hp. Thoughts? I also have been browsing on Ebay and see chips touting a 25hp increase for about $20 - seems too good to be true. Would love your advice. Thanks in advance

Give the search button a try. Lots of good posts on upgrades.

Daren -

For that money, I'd advise the Motordyne plenum spacer.

That's good for 8-12 REAL hp and won't pose a threat to your MAF or engine internals.

(I'm a K&N hater, for lots of reasons, but they spend more money telling their side of the story than I do.. )

Realistically expect to pay $50 -$100 per rear wheel HP gained after the first few..................$20 or $50 ebay car performance items are just stealing your money.

I agree w/ AZhitman...the Motordyne plenum spacer is a solid, reasonably priced, low risk way of getting REAL hp gains.
