. I am a "new" owner of a 2003 4dr G35. 155k miles. New is in quotes because I have been driving the car since about 40k miles, but now it will be mine full time. I just wanted advice and tips on modification for it. I used to own a few Mustangs and with every car their are little secrets you can do to modify the car. If anyone has suggestions for best exhaust too I would greatly appreciate it. I was looking into Fujistubo, I want to keep the growl of the 35, but make it more aggressive.

Thanks!

Welcome to NICO

The only tip I can offer you from many years of experience is to make your 401k plan aggressive and don't piss hard earned $$$ away. Think this way. What is your vehicle worth now. I mean what would your insurance company pay you if the vehicle were totaled? What would they pay you after you poured some $$$ into it and some a$$hole ran into you and totaled it?Just my $.02

Good luck

Me too!!

So, Telcoman thinks of his car sort of as an investment (well at least a bad investment because it will not appreciate - but you can try to minimize the depreciation) where the rest of us (most of us) look at it as part hobby. We get enjoyment out of driving our G's sort of the same way you get enjoyment out of bowling or playing golf. Except, the dollars we put toward our cars can be recouped when we sell our cars. Most of the bolt on parts can be resold. You can not get anything back from green fees or shoe rental.

As far as bolt ons for more HP, you have various intake options, spacers, and cat back exhausts to 'invest' in. Make sure to check the FAQ's http://forums.g35club.org/zerothread/323283

LOL Rich

I was his age once and am only pointing out something for him to think about. Most young males make the same financial mistakes when they own a car. Women tend to overspend on shoes and clothes. He is lucky because he doesn't have to deal with the POS Ford that I had.I wonder what the $500 that I lost owning that POS would be worth today had I invested it in Microsoft or google?

Haha I like the way you all think. I dont spend my money on useless things like body kits or aero kits. I like small modifications that improve gas mileage and performance. I plan on boosting the car in a few years, but it is still daily driver.

Just purchased a red 2005 In Infinity Coupe that looks brand new. Just wanted to know what to use to wash and wax her with? What kind of cloths do I need to use to wash wash, wax and dry ? Also, do I need to use anything special on the tinted windows? I appreciate everyone help!

Welcome :wavey:

Use a good carwash soap with a good wash mit. Lots of water and keep it in the shade when you clean it. Dry it off with soft terry towels, water blade, micro-fibre towel or chamois...something that won't scratch the surface. For tinted windows you don't want to use anything with ammonia.
