just brought home my new G35 sport/premium (no nav) and think the car is great - got one question that I think is stupid

been driving it today and it is slow shifting in both auto and the paddle shifter mode (kind of a hesitation), which I did not experience during test drives - I assume this is just a matter of breaking in the enginer, but am paranoid enough I thought I would post it

just want to be sure I did not get a lemon!

The one I test drove had no issues as well. If you are not sure, take it into the dealer and take them for a test drive to show them. Don't rely on them to test it themselves.

I remember when I first started driving my AT I thought the same thing. I have always had a manual and knew when I shifted it SHIFTED. This car seemed to have a delay, as you were saying, but when I figured out the timing of the delay I could get it into the next gear when I wanted it to go in. Now if the delay you are experiencing is more then a half second I would be concerned.

My sixth grade teacher taught us that. No, I am no longer in the sixth grade! I was able to pass it on the first try.

There is no stupid question. It's a smart think to ask.

I think beernuts right but if you're not sure you can take it to the dealer as soul fk says and tell them to try it. If there is a problem better catch it early.
