I have seen this probably about four times in my 03's driver/passenger seats since I bought it in May. All four instances occurred early on in my ownership but I have yet to see the problem resurface in a few months.AaronJP wrote:3) In the 03 I noticed when you let someone into the back seat from the driver seat by pulling the lever up that the seat does not move back... is that normal?Modified by AaronJP at 5:08 PM 10/15/2007
Thanks for the answers. 5 of them I am still confused about.1) The bumper lights, are they actual lights or reflectors?2) I have an Auto, the passenger seats return to position automatically when I pull up on the side handle & let the seat back down. The driver side on the other hand does not, but you are saying the parking brake will fix this?joe603 wrote:Welcome to NICO!
We're glad to help out with any questions, but make sure you search the forums for the answer!
1) Do you guys have a sqeak or creek when you drive over a bump? If so how is that corrected & was it covered under warranty.
Depends on where the squeak is coming from. It could be the compression rods. They are covered under the factory warranty (if its still good)
2) Dash squeaks... Do they fix that under the warranty as well?
yes! There is a TSB for a dash squeak fix.
3) In the 03 I noticed when you let someone into the back seat from the driver seat by pulling the lever up that the seat does not move back... is that normal?
You have to make sure the parking brake is up (set) for the seat to return to the proper position using the button.
4) The window lock out switch does not light up is that normal?
All window/lock controls are illuminated.
5) If you push the climate control "Mode" button it does not show the fan speed control? Why is that? I really dont get this one, you have to push the fan speed up or down to make it work properly, and whey does the A/C always come on when you select mode & you always have to turn the A/C off... or is it ok in the winter months even when your temp may be set to 80?
The mode button is basically an "on" button. Subsequent presses will change which vents are in use. You can also turn on the AC by pressing the AUTO button. Subsequent presses will cycle it from "econ" and "normal". I believe 80 is the max (could be 90...). It's not a problem for it to be set at that level any time of year.
6) Do the heated seats turn off & on by themselves even if the light is lit up?
The heated seats are NOT automatic! You can use them anytime you want. The button is for low heat and high heat. Sadly, no cooling for the seat as in the M45
...now, post up some pics in the member's ride thread!!!!
Yeah I get the mode button... I just figured when you turned that on you would get the fan speed to come on with it as well. I mean whats the sense of turning on the Mode & you have no fan speed with it at the same time??joe603 wrote:1) The bumper lights, are they actual lights or reflectors?
both. They will light up with the parking lights.
2) I have an Auto, the passenger seats return to position automatically when I pull up on the side handle & let the seat back down. The driver side on the other hand does not, but you are saying the parking brake will fix this?
The parking brake needs to be engaged for the seats to return to the original position. Not sure on the auto...check your owner's manual.
3) The heated seats will working in the summer as well? Didnt know that I will try. Sometimes I cant feel them well.
Yes, they work in the summer. Temperature has nothing to do with there operation.
4) You stated the "Mode" is an on button. Thats fine, but if I turned the system on shouldnt it show the fan speed as being high/low, I dont get that until I thouch the fan button. Also the you said its find to leave the A/C illuminated even in winter and at the heat temps like 75+.
The mode button simply turns on the HVAC system. It's there so you don't get blasted with hot air when you first turn on the car. (like the AUTO position). It only tells the system where you want the air, not the fan speed.
5) The window locks & switchs all light up. I have a switch that is made for locking out the windows, that one does not light up.
Not sure, check your owners manual.
