new G35 MT RPM issue

Didnt see this covered in any previous posts, but there are way too many to see them all. Just got new G35 MT Sedan. LOVE IT!!! When I have RPM's around 3000-3500 and depress clutch the RPM's jump up to 4000+ and then come back down. If I am between 2000-3000 it doesnt seam as severe a jump up in RPM when I hit the clutch. Is this normal? Is everyone's G doin' it?

Due to the fact you still have your foot on the accelerator when you do this.
