new g35 coupe owner questions

picked up a sweet 03 coupe with 11k miles . 2 issues 1) burning rubber like smell from back left side of motor (best I can tell) not bad but wonder if anybody has ideas. 2) starting car rear speakers give off a pop most of the time , thinking a loose wire somewhere ? Thanks

Ok have you seen the history of that car? An 03' with 11k miles seems pretty unreal!

Are all the belts aligned properly?

Speakers popping sounds like a loose wire to me, or ones blown.

Anyone else?

Thanks, the mileage was what caught my eye first. Found the car at an Infiniti dealer in Denver , researched and quizzed everybody I coud till I was convinced the milage was real . Its not perefect like the salesman said but it is exceptional for an 03 . They sent me records where the recalls and routine service was done at the dealer . These things are fast ! I like that coming from an RX 8 . I bought an extended warranty and am gonna just watch it close for a while till I really worry about the things I mentioned . I think I can fix the pop myself , and I'm hoping the smell might be from road contaminants that wil burn away like the dealer said. Anything else I need to know about these cars I would appreciae the info . I have to figure out how to post pics. Thanks

But, I wouldn't wait too long on that burning smell, you paid for the extended warranty...make them earn it! Hell, have em do the speakers while their at it.

I am 2 hrs away from a dealer is my only problem . I really did not put a lot of thought into that since I really didn't expect any issues with these cars . If it continues I'll make an appointment and hopefully get both things looked at . Any way to do pics from this site ? I'm not getting that I guess . Thanks, Kevin
