I'll try to say this without being a jerk:

Starting a forum by sniping members off an established one is the pinnacle of tackiness.

This is hard work, and you gotta start like everyone else. Not on our coattails.

As a side note, we do have a regional section for CA... Feel free to post up meets and events, and we'll see you when NICOfest comes to your area.

Thanks, and welcome aboard.

We've had a couple of OC meets already. I've just been bad about doing another one.

I'd like to do a meet and greet, show and tell (hahaha), then a drive, but finding a route that is PITA.

If we can get a large enough crowd together, maybe some of the 350 guys and/or maxima guys, then we can divide the drive up into the performance drivers versus the slow pokes.

This was one of the issues that made the last 2 meets fail, was driving style and capability.

If anybody is up for a SoCal meet, that would be cool. RN, you need to come too!!!

RN would be in the slow poke lane.

Just an idea. Why not get some charity involved. Maybe sick kids or something. We had one here for the ferraris and they got the cops involved to block a section and you could of fly, no speed limit. Of course it is a lot more pressure to organize a meet like that. Are you up to the challange?

Are you a mexi-can or mexi - can't?

Great idea Zozo. I might actually do this. Maybe I can get a banner or two from Greg.

What was the format for the event? Every participant paid X dollars to participate?

What they did, took out sick kids for ride and they could sit in the cars talk to the owners, etc. Also sold drinks, food, etc. All went to the sick kids. Was sponsored by couple of dealers and papers.

Seriously I think it would be great. Also you can get people to pay some money to participate. I know I would if I live around there.

I am sure Greg would go for it too. It all goes for a good cause.

That is, I think the ONLY aspect where Canada pwns the US. You couldn't get the police to allow + speed limit driving without rental of jersey barriers and 4 gauge fencing. Not to mention, the city would want it's pockets fattened, even if it was for sick kids.

I would consider a drive to Canada for something like that.

Now don't tell Sean that I complimented Canada. He'll never let me live it down.

I messaged Yerv on Myspace. Last time I talked to him, he said he didn't have the G anymore

It would be cool to get a few of the other guys out there too. Maybe even Will even though he went to the Lexi side. Anybody seen him lately?

Greg,

had to pay Furd to diagnose it - $89They wanted $360 to change it!(Yeah, autozone can do it, but they CAN NOT pin point the exact problem like Furd. However, they did on my daughter's 00 Max. Told me the cylinder that was mis-firing and I changed the coil pack and was good)

I got a 'frequent flier' Ford card. Something new. It came with $10 on it and the $89 put another $5 on it.

After my company discount and the $15 with the card, the O2 was only $37Autozone wanted $63

So, was pretty cheap.

BTW, I paid over $300 to get an O2 sensor replaced on my 01 Pathy cause it took some special tool....

thats how they get you. i was looking at the service bill for the last service of dad's lexus. they charged him 90 for the in cabin airfilter, and 75 to install it. i looked it up online. it was 14 dollars. and it is literally two screws behind the glove box. urgh.
