I previously owned a 2005 G35 coupe and, after having horrible uneven tire wear, I decided to buy aftermarket rims so I could rotate the tires. Once I did that I had no issues. I currently own a 2012 vert and I was curious if I was going to have the same issues. I just had the 7,500 mile maintenance done and everything is looking great. The mechanic said all the tires were wearing evenly and and it looks like the tires will last much longer (compared to my 05). He also said that it was a known problem with the older G's and Infiniti made a lot of improvements. Too bad, it was a good excuse to buy a nice set of rims. :chuckle: Has anyone else heard anything like this or have comments?

My 2009 G37 Sedan Sport needed new tires around 15k

That's similar to how my 2005 was. I would be able to see a difference in them even after 5k. The tires on my 2012 seem like they will go much longer.

You are always going to get more life out of a square setup because of the ability to rotate tires. If you got 15K miles out of a staggered setup, what would be the outcome if those tires could have been rotated. The type of tire, the tread ware and driving style all come in to play as well.
