new G leaking!

i just bought a 08 g35x last month. today was the first nice day in forever so i decided to go through a car wash. I was sitting there in the car and got hit by a drop. i was like WTF! so i checked the sunroof and could feel water on top of the sunroof cover. So i have a extended warranty and just bought the car. do you all think or know if it will cost to get im guessing the weather stripping replaced? like i said i have had the car for exactly 1 month!

Take it in and ask. Never hurts to ask. There is a TSB for sunroof. Not for leak but for weather stripping loose. I believe.

However they might tell you they won't do anything about it. The reason maybe because car wash have high pressure and under some circumstance high pressure water can leak thru sunroof. Have you tried testing your sunroof with just water without pressure or taking it to another carwash?

No I haven't, its been 30 degrees and below, hit 50 degrees yesterday now back down to 30. ill try it next warm day

Just go to the dealer and tell them u have a leak. Don't mention the car wash. Look inside the car and see if there are any water spots... if there was a previous leak there should be some signs of constant dripping somewhere.

Aside from the weather stripping, make sure the sun roof drains are clear.

i just found the TSB on the sunroof so i will definitely take it in and have them look or replace it

Mine leaked the other day in the wash bay. Put then I realized the dryer was going over that area during that time frame. There is enough force there to push the back side of the sunroof down enough to allow it to leak.
