hello you all!
my name is ingmar fiering and i'm a graphic design student from holland.
i own a 1992 nissan 240sx that was imported in 1994. the 240sx was never sold here instead of that we have the 200sx which is almost the same accept it has a ca18det engine.
mine however is running the ka24e, has cruise controle, a/c, and the weird automatic seatbelts. (dutch s13's don't have these options)

when i bought the car it was practically stock accept the ugly aftermarket wheels and lowering springs. and it looked like this:

(pic was taken in germany near the nurburg ring)

after that i started modifying it.

here are the things i first did to it:

interior:
recaro sr seats
nardi classico steering wheel with quick release hub.
nardi shift knob.
wide angle rearview mirror.
relocated cruisecontrol

wheels and suspension:
Tein Ha coilovers.
Skyline R33 gtst brakes.
braided brakelines
s14 5lug
nismo 2-way lsd.
skyline r33 gtr wheels

exhaust:
Hks Hi-power.

and then it broke down :P (brake master cylinder died)

then i found this on a japanese wreckyard:

A genuine hot road bumper, it was in a pretty bad condition but i fixed it bought a set of sideskirts and put it on the car:

i also got a nice deal for an engine swap: a guy i met had a broken down ca18det engine in his garage and he wanted it gone. so he said i could pic it up in trade for pack of beer. offcourse that was an offer i couldnt refuse so i picked up the engine
and started to dismantle it to find out what was wrong with it.

Image

it turned out that the big end bearings and crankshaft bearings where completely gone and the crank was also in a pretty bad condition..

So i started to search for a new crankshaft and found something even better a fresh ca18det engine with brand new acl bearings and a lot of spare parts.

so i went and get it:

next step was finding the parts i was missing and putting everything together:

some parts that got in:

meanwhile we had to take care of some rust:

bought some new coilovers:

Welcome!!

Nice car too, it looks pretty clean. Got some nice rust spots there though, but a little cutting and welding can handle that. Let us know when you are officially boosting down the Nurburgring.

Too low and not sprung for Nordschleife. It'd drag in SO many places and probably tear in the front bumper off in the carousel's. Car would have to come up at least an inch, maybe more unless those are 600+ lbs springs to stop the car from bottoming out in bumpier areas.

Welcome! You write English very well. I appreciate all of the attention you paid to your project, and thank you for changing those wheels.

i don't really know what sprung means but the car is not to low for the nordschleife. The car is not as low as it looks on the picture
this is how it's standing now:

there are much lower and faster cars driving on the ring all the time.

actually we don't really have a lot of places to drift. almost nowhere actually. the roads ar very narrow in holland in most of the places. and we have a lot of spead bumps and sidewalks etc. also most tracks don't like drifters so thats also not an option. :frown:
