The rear decklid chrome strip above the license plate on my Q is peeling. Not the chrome there appears to be a layer of smoked clearcoating over the chrome. My thought was to remove the rest of the clearcoat and try to salvage the chrome or to replace the whole strip. I noticed some people have replaced their chrome strips with plain Cima chrome strips. Any idea where I can get OEM Nissan Cima rear license plate chrome molding? And how hard is it to install?

Thanks

Andrew

Most of the people finding CIMA parts do so off Yahoo! Japan and some have Japanese wives/girlfriends/parents etc that can find it for them in Japan. For sure you local speed shop isn't going to stock it. It is hard enough finding anything for a 97-01 never mind the 02-06.

your best bet is to just order a fresh part from IOS or having somebody re-chrome it. I'd compare those prices and go from there.
