Last night I installed my Apexi N1 Dual exhaust. Now if finally sounds the way it should. I haven't had a chance to drive it yet as I am in the middle of replacing the carpet and dash board. he..he dash board from the junkyard was only $40. Office carpet from home depot was about $40. makes the interior look so much better.

I found out I have some free webspace with my ISP. I have some pics of my TII on there right now, and I will see if I can add some RB pics this weekend.

I'd like to see the pics of the carpet when you get those up. I was thinking of getting some thin (weight reasons) carpet for mine as opposed to using the molded carpet.

Did you decide to use a cat with your exhaust setup? Just wondering.

I will see if I can get some interior pics when I am done. I stripped all the padding out first to shed a few pounds. mostly to just get rid of that old car smell.

I am using the stock 240 cat, but I hollowed it out. To keep nice and legal, I will probably just buy a high flow cat later

Sounds good bud. I'd be interested to know how hot the driver's side gets without insulation underneath your feet. My 199k mile beast has a nice hole where the gas under the gas pedal, and when I drive w/ sandals (put the shoes under my seat) that spot gets way to hot for bare feet. I never drove my last RB S13 enough to get that spot hot enough (no carpet at all). It will also be interesting to see how hard it is to lay unmolded carpet.

I hope I can pas visual inspection with my new exhaust (no sniffer where I am). I just picked up the Greddy TR2 system that comes with a testpipe that looks like a cat... we will see.

Make some vid files of the new ride moving. Always good to see these RB cars rolling.

I was swapping the diff out this weekend for a VLSD unit, and got a chance to take some pics of the Apexi N1 Dual vs the stock exhaust. Thought I would share.

I don't have a video camera, unfortunately. It sounds awsome with the N1 Dual, you won't be disapointed. The stock exhaust was pathetic.

Seems like a lot of extra weight with the dual piping..etc.

That is pretty funny. I don't think the exhaust weighs much more if any. If you are worried about it go JIC makes a titanium exhaust that weighs 13 pounds. But I don't make titanium money:)

I read somewhere that the N1 dual DOES actually weigh more than the stock exhaust, but it was like 2 lbs or something small. I know I could not tell the difference when I put mine on.

Even if it was really heavy, the sound would still make it worth buying, imho. I've got a microphone and laptop now, so maybe I can make a sound clip tonight. RB's have a sweeet sound.

Well I know a lot of people like take out their 5 lb radio to save weight and what not, so having an extra section of 3" piping and an extra 3" muffler seems like it negates the effect of a weight savings which most aftermarket exhausts have.

You have a valid point.

I plan on keeping my car a street car, and driving it to work when I am not driving my RX-7 TII.

My decision to get the N1 Dual was based on it actually being a little more quiet than the regular N1 without any sacrafice in air flow.

I want the 240 to be a sleeper, so I can enjoy the power when I want it, and still be able to hear my passenger when I am just cruising.

My TII draws alot of the wrong kind of attention. Every idiot on the road tries to race me and Cops follow me around.

If I was going for a race car (like many people here), then I would have chosen an exhaust that weighed less.

If I think about it this weekend, I will try to weigh them and see what the actual difference is.

I noticed a bit of lag in the lower rpms when I installed my N1 with my KA due to the weight increase. It made up for it in the higher rpms though.

Oh just kidding! Can't wait to hear the RB breathing through it!

RS*R Fella's....I love that exhaust. Had it on my Skyline and now on my 240.
