Shot of my "professional" work area

Action Shot!

Some of my welds, I know - not the best but they work. Amd considering I have a pos welder that I outgrew years ago, I'm too cheap to get a new one.

Rockin out yo!

The stock rear flanges were reused as you can see, but they aren't a true 2.5" like the header flange. I had to neck down the 2.5" pipe to fit the stock size flange.

Also, The rear muffler is at an angle because of the driveshaft incase you noticed it was off a bit. It is still nice and tucked up and out of the way.

Impressions, cant really say because I have only driven it down the street, but I can say it is louder and more agressive than before. Sounds kinda like it has a t a n g in the exhaust note. I plan on adding a set of spun hi flow cats to combat this. The tang is not terrible, I'm just a perfectionist when it comes to exhaust sound, most probably wouldn't even notice.

Yeah, it does. I bought the x pipe and the muffler not knowing the muffler actually had an X in it already. I sourced another muffler that wasn't in stock and my muffler supply shop said that this would work. He neglected to tell me it had an X in it till I opened the box after I had paid for everything. I didn't feel like going through the hassle of a refund and he said why not try a double x pipe design as he's heard of other shops doing the same thing. I said what the hell and threw it on there for good measure

I'll post sound clips soon, but after I installed everything, the stock header flange developed a leak, so I need to seal that up to get an accurate representation of the sound of the exhaust. Personally I don't like it, but others may think it sounds good. I showed a buddy here at work and he said it sounded sweet so what do I know?

I still get the clumps of bird poo welds, if you look closely you can see them a little bit. It's all in the settings, power and feed rate, and the wire you use. Always MIG with gas, never with flux core wire as you'll get all kinds of spatter and the wire itself will absorb moisture and go bad after a while. Also get a decent welder, my craftsman I got was the highest power for the cheapest price at the time, it definitely shows it's true colors some days. Some days it'll pop my breakers and weld like poo all day, then another day it'll weld like a CNC welding machine.

Some day I'll get a nice TIG setup to make everything nice nice, but till then I'll make do(poo) with what I got!
