hey, i know i inquiried about this exhaust awhile ago, but i just recently ordered my rb25 and it should be coming in tommorow. will there be any issues if i bolt this up to a stock rb25'd 240 s14? and if it's alright with the setup, send me a quote for 3" aluminized piping, dual 2.5" tip with a 22" resonator to [email protected] please.

thanks,

Richard

Hi Richard -

It'll depend on how you configure your downpipe and cat, the engine is irrelevant.

As long as you set it up so that the cat remains in the original position, you're fine.

Pricing is on the first post of the thread.

Thanks!

Hey Greg, it looks as though finally after a long time comming that I will finally be placing an order for one of your exhaust systems! Although even that won't be until mid January - but it is becoming much more of a reality than it ever has been!

I have a question for you though:

I know that when you first were selling the systems the 3" dual tip mufflers had greater distance between the tips than the dual tip mufflers of the smaller exhausts. Since you reworked some of your systems about a year ago (I think that's when you did it) I have seen some pictures of the 3" systems with dual tips, and it looks as though the tips are the same distance apart as the smaller systems...

My question is: is this true, are the dual tips the same distance apart on all of your systems now?

Thanks for your time and keep up the good work!

Probably the 2.5" but that in ways is personal opinion. I know that many people on here have seen consistant power gains with the 2.5 over stock and the 2.25.... and there are even those that will say that 3" provides the most power gains even when naturally aspirated... but once again, I'd say go with the 2.5" as it will allow for more flow of exhaust gasses than the 2.25" and isn't going to cost you any more to get.

Just my 2 cents....

Mark - You are correct.

That's AWESOME news greg! I can't wait to get my funds all collected now! It's only a matter of getting my paychecks and then placing my order! I can't hardly wait! Although I will have to set up a paypal account, but that's no biggie lol.

Keith, I think that if you search the posts in this thread you might find someone that posted a sound clip that would come close to what you're looking for... and if not, maybe someone will post up a link... Good luck!

Hye greg, i got the s14 exhaust installed. its nice, clearance and fitment were nice. I sent out the civic exhaust last friday and will send out the s13 exhaust as soon as i can. I have a friend who has an s13 and wants the exhaust but the price is steep for him with the resonator that i asked for. If you wanna give him a deal on it, he will buy it asap if not i understand and it will ship out asap.

Hey greg I don't know the proceedure in ordering through paypal or what not, but the system that I am wanting is a 3" stainless steel exhaust system with the 14" resonator and dual tips for the S13... and the last that I heard shipping was $45 to the continental US... if I'm wrong please correct me... but the shipping area code will be 27607

Thanks for all of the hard work that you are doing! and I hope that you had a great Christmas with you family! You guys have been in my prayers and I hope all is well!

aside from the shipping cost, which I think is constant throughout the continental U.S. the pricing for the exhaust systems is on the first page of this thread... and in concerns to your cat, your car will not (should not) pass inspection if you don't have one. It doesn't matter about it passing smog, it would fail the visual check where the technician looks for a cat - if it's not there you won't pass....

Good luck, and welcome to the forum!

SWEET! I managed to get my S13 dual tip exhaust installed today... I've got numerous pics, but I want to post up 2 to show you guys b/c I am worried that my exhaust is hanging too low... I think that it might scrape going over speed bumps. And even if they won't now, when the car gets lowered in the future I'm afraid that it would definately scrape then. Anyway, on to the pics that illustrate it the best:

Oh and I noticed something that might have contributed to it: on the factory exhaust there are 4 hangers, but on the mine there are only 3... Granted worn out / old exhaust hangers could cause the new system to hang a little lower - so idk...

Wow! That sounds good! I used to own a 1989 Formula (305) Firebird and your car at idle reminds me of how it sounded with a stock muffler. Nice, deep tone. When I get the dough I will definitely buy this system! The current exhaust I have was put on my the previous owner and even with an 18" resonator it is so fricking loud, especially when I lift the throttle above 3k. It annoys the crap out of me, but I don't have the money to change it yet to what I want. 3" SS w/resonator, high-flow cat, and dual-tips (3" for the future motor swap w/turbo )

Hey guys, I've got 2 videos of the 3" SS exhaust w/ 14" resonator hosted on my website... not sure how the bandwidth will handle a lot of people viewing the videos, but for now they are up and working Here they are

*BTW, in the video my car is completely stock except for the exhaust - so this might help those that are wondering about the sound of it on a completely stock 240*

Definitely consider replacing the exhaust hangers, I finally got new ones for my car and it made a big difference.

Believe it or not, it actually decreased the vibrations as well.

I did it all myself. The hardest 2 parts were A) removing the old and rusted bolts on my stock exhaust and B) cutting off the tow hook where the exhaust is. I would say that this is an easy 2 person job (it helps to have one person hold the exhaust up while you are under it bolting and attaching it to the hangers) or an easy one person job with say a box or two to prop up the new exhaust...

Greg can correct me if I'm wrong, but as I calculated it to be:

$610

P.S. Look at the very first post of the tread, it has all pricing except shipping which I think is universally $45 within the continental US
