Hey there, welcome to NICOclub! I am actually NOT the Mod for this forum, but I am sure he will give you a warm greeting as well. We are glad to have you here in the EX35 Forum!vibes wrote:Hi guys,
Found this forum after ordering my EX35 (Black/Wheat, NAV, Custom Leather), some good info here. Hoping to pick up my car this week, so I want to ask the experts what known issues I need to look out for. So far, I've read:
- leaky sunroof- bad fuel pump- problems with airbag sensor (recall)- rattle in the dash
any other issues or recalls I missed? For the airbag recall, should I get this looked at with the dealer right away?
BTW, we were going to get a Lexus IS250 but walked into the Infiniti dealer and walked out with a EX35 The improvements in the interior, features offered, performance, and the sweet deal offered was just too good to pass up.

Thanks David, I'm feeling right at home in these forums already.dividedhighw wrote:Welcome, vibes ... it's great to have another GTA member on-board!!
Sorry I wasn't the first to welcome you, but it looks like the rest of the "gang" noticed you soon enough and besides, some of us have to work for a living (even if the Government employees get Nov 11th off)!!
Cheers,David
Wow...impressive list....I was sold on the performance/feature/value....only thing left to see is how it holds up over time and how the servicing isCaribMon71 wrote:I happily dumped my 2006 IS 250 for my fully loaded, AWD EX 35. Best purchase I've made. Cars right before the EX-35 were a 2003 BMW X5 and a 2004 VW Touareg V8.
The EX 35 is the fairest of them all.

You have to get your teeth whitened because from now on you'll have an ear to ear smile on your face every time you drive your car or you see your car or just think about your car. You have to have nice white teeth with a smile like that.
You need a pen and the note book to collect all the phone numbers from the all kind of hot chicks after they seeing and stopping you in the car.

I hate to interrupt the frivolity , but besides what's already been said, a few items do come to mind:vibes wrote:I'm picking up the car this Thursday...does anyone have any tips on what I need to check/inspect when I pick up the new car?
awesome list, thanks David. Quick question about the blockheater, if they run it outside, will it always stick out of the grill?dividedhighw wrote:

1. I would try moving the power telescopic steering column in and out, listening carefully for any grinding noises.
2. If you have a light-coloured interior (stone or wheat), make sure it's been cleaned. (Mine had been in the showroom for a month and the dealer didn't clean the interior prior to delivery.)
3. Take delivery during daylight hours if at all possible.
4. If you have locking wheel nuts, make sure you have the appropriate adapter.
5. Double-check that you have any "extra" parts you negotiated as part of the deal (extra mats, roofrack crossbars, etc).
6. Make sure you have the entire package of manuals and the iPod adapter cable (likely inside the centre console).
7. They should have an Infiniti Delivery Checklist ... ensure all items are done and make sure you get a copy.
8. Call them ahead of time and ask that they untie the block heater plug and run it to the outside, as part of their PDI ... if you want to use the block heater. (Don't know about the GTA, but Ottawa is forecasted to have freezing rain soon!!)
Maybe others can think of more ...

I would think so, but I don't plan to use mine, so haven't unravelled it.vibes wrote:Quick question about the blockheater, if they run it outside, will it always stick out of the grill?
Glad somebody mentioned the telescoping steering problem. One dealer service manager told me 3 out of 10 brand new EX's have that problem before they're even driven out of the dealership !dividedhighw wrote:
