I was wondering what everyone thinks of this engine:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...&rd=1

I was planning on turboing this engine with a T3/T04E, 370's, walbro 255, wideband 02, jwt or nismo cams, and i dont know what type of intercooler. How much boost would one run with proper tuning of the AFR, and timing? I was planning on doing this in about a month. the engine will be in my car in about a week or two, and i should be getting substancial manoney in about 3 weeks. I also want to know if the revhard mani or the JGS is beter for the money? and what kinda piping/tubing should i use with what type of clamps??thanks everyoneps-this engine is going into a 96 SE.

lets start with the turbo: T3/T4 is good choice, I like the 54 trim but most will say 50.

With good tuning 12psi...easy (on a stock motor)

JGS is better

Piping can be anything from silicon piping, to steel, to aluminum

the silicone tubing is the flexible stuff right? If so wouldnt it be easier to get some of those then try to map out all the lengths and bends with steel or aluminum for the IC and turbo piping? And it looks cool too, i could use whatever color i want, yeah?thanks

its the rubber connectors you use between different IC metal components, just one long tube.

I came up with the idea, because factory turbo cars use allot of rubber in their IC piping, and since you end up using the stuff anyway, why not use 6 feet of it, you can get different sizes and colors for close to nothing, compare to what you would have paid for all the metal tubing and clams and connectors.

And its smother since its one long tube rather then 3-4 metal pieces connected, also its flexible and you can route it places metal pipes wont dream of going.

thats what im going to do then. use the silicone tubing for everything and just get really good clamps. i finally got the engine today too, alot of the wires are all fukered up and it was tied to the freakin pallet with like 4 ft of nylon rope, so when the freight company recieved it it was barely attatched to the pallet. they had to shrink wrap it on there to make sure it wouldnt get any more messd up. thankis alot.
