New Engine Replacement KA24 JDM?

Hi everyone, I live in California and its sucks when its time to do smog especially when you have a bunch of aftermarket stuff on your ride. I've decided to restore my 240 to its original specs. I need to make sure that the KA24 JDM engine will be ok to use when smog time comes, will it pass smog?? if not, then I'll just pay the extra cash and buy a rebuilt KA24DE. Any help is really appreciated, thanks in advance!

As long as you have fresh cats, you should be ok. You might have to adjust your timing a little or something, but it should work.
