Do a compression test, if its good, boost away.

I don't understand the question, the ECU isn't "good for" any specific HP.

never mind i'm retarded it wasn't the ecu it was something else but forget it. is all the wiring hard to do? do you have a wiring diagram to turbo a 240sx(s14). don't really know much about the wiring and all the computer stuff.

thanks

The wiring totally depends on what engine management you use as well as what gauges you put in, gauges are easy but a standalone with new sensors is more challenging. A JWT ecu is as easy as plugging it in but other engine management options might require an almost full re-wire of the engine related stuff.

ahaha i'm sorry bro, but 85k miles and your worried. my KA is still on it's original parts with 203k miles and it still running 255 compression, KAs just don't crap out after 100k or anything. they live nice and long. Lots of altima people keep them around for 250+k miles.

don't worry unless the compression or leakdown readings are bad. If you want to be safe, the best thing to do other than internals is some head work, at which time you can get things cleaned up a bit and it should be dandy for boost.

toki, i know they run forever but didn't know if they ran well under boost. 203k damn and still running good. thats why i like nissan, they run forever unlike a ford or gm.thanks

how expensive? GT25R would give you instant spool up and plenty of high end but its like 1200 minimum.

you could just browse through the forum, through the first 10 pages, and read up on what people are using, and read the replies to questions people ask.. it might give you a good idea. You could learn to read compressor maps and do some math and stuff too, but I'm not that good at that so I can't help you much there.

The T3/TO4E 50 trim .63 AR stg 3 wheel is ideal. I like the GT30 more then the GT25. But I don't mind a hint of lag.
