new engine feels like im hitting a wall

i just pulled my 222k motor and swapped in a 75k KADE with a SPEC 2+ clutch. now everytime i drive it when i shift it feels like im hitting a wall. when i shift the rpms drop super fast. upshifting feels like down shifting, if that makes any sense.

wait wait, if the rpms drop really fast, you should probably check the oil levels.

that was the tell-tale sign i needed to add oil in my old super leaky SOHC, when the rpms started to drop like a rock, id have to put in another litre.

check oil level, STAT.

check oil.and if oil is fine, check vacu leeks

Check to make sure your timing is in spec. Also, try to pull some codes off the ECU. ODB2 cars are notoriously finicky to motor changes

i thought 95s were obd-1? yeh the newer engine has a fresh tune up. new oil(to appropriate level), NGK platinum plugs, Xact wires(i know, I know) new cap and rotor, and timing is to spec. what i mean by hitting a wall is think of shifting from 5th at say 80mph to 3rd with out giving any gas, how the car feels like it slows really fast. well its like that when i shift up. say when i go from 2nd to 3rd it feels like it hesitates almost like im down shifting. i dont know if that even made any sense. i dont know how to describe it. basically i guess you could say when i shift it feels like im hitting the brakes.
