Heya fellow sr20 fans.

I've been talking with Andrew Nam over at Quantum Performance Engineering about adding support for SR20s in the Hydra Nemesis 2.0 Engine Management System. Here is a summary page of Nemesis 2.0 supported features http://www.hydra-ems.com/ A quick glance will show this EMS superior to most other offerings in this price range ( around $1250 give or take).

What I would like to know is how many of you would be interested in this system over the next two years if were a "plug & play" solution?

If there is enough interest we will get a group buy for a few units in the months to come so we can get some solid feedback on the forum. I'm not looking for people to deposit money or anything quite yet. Just a head count of those who would truly be interested in purchasing this system in the next year or two.

Screenshots and discussion to come. Will you seriously consider purchasing Hydra Nemesis in the next year or two?

The unit will work with all variants of the SR20 (DE,DET,VE, and yes, even the VET)

It is superior to all the Haltech units below the 11-series. It is on par with the 11-series in terms of functionality & features, but it MUCH easier to install & use.

It's available right now, but not in a pre-packaged Plug & Play unit. That's what this thread was about. How many people would buy the pre-packaged unit this year if it were available?

I was browsing this board for info on sr swaps and came across this post. The Hydra is out for the WRX, EVO, MR2, and many other platforms and has proven to be a great standalone with many features at a great price. The down fall you guys will have is that there are not tuned base map for your platform and tuning a standalone requires many hours of tuning which can get expensive unless you tune it yourself. I have one on orded for my 02wrx (STI engine swap) and should get it this week. I'm going to be doing a swap on my wife's sentra and when the hydra is out for SR engines you can bet I'll have one.

Below are some links to one of the wrx forums with info on the EMS. You can also contact elementtuning.com as they are the sole ditributor for wrx,sti and evo. Phil has done a lot of tuning on the Hydra and I belive that he can get the ECU for any vehicle that is currently supported. I'm not sureif you have herd about element tuning but if you have read the time attack articles in super street or sport compact car there is a STI (worldone performance.com) that placed 6th and it was tuned by element tuning with the Hydra ems. You can see that STI in the current issue (September 2004) of super street magazine.
