I recently acquired an enthalpy ecu and got some chip for my setup. Now the car wont start. It just sputters and DUMPS gas. Were the chips supposed to be located a certain way?

you should talk to enthalpy about it, even if you didn't by it from him he may help you out. But there is a notch on the chip and there should be a something like a dot or white outline on or near the socket to indicate which way to stick it in.

yeah, ive covered that. The ecu doesnt smell fried. The led comes on when the key is on. The ecu throws code 55. None of it lines up. Enthalpy thinks i have a bad chip.
