04 350z Intro

New here. In the Eastern North Carolina Area. LFG shows/meets/community/build friendly shops/like minded individuals.

The ride.
Hittin 200k on mileage, had the car for about 5 years now. Recently becoming financially well off.
Paid off the car. Looking into possible swap, LS EVERYTHANG. Nah but lq9 is in the list.

2j, vk56, lq9, maybe rb? Apparently the ( Bagged Rocket Bunny 350z (4K) | Artifact !yt ) has an RB in it, check comments. Idk cant find much information on that car, which is sad cause I want to steal alot of that set up lol
Pretty torn.

interested in sliding, but also a fan of highway pulls/drag. Which sucks cause it would see practical that supercharger would probably apply better for drifting/instant power. But who doesn't love it when the turbo spools and pops off.

While I'm researching though, looking into getting my suspension right with some wheels. (Looking for help with measurements)
Debating Air/Coils. Air seems to be the move though, cuz stance gang w/o rollin around with 2x4s for tricky driveways/speedbumps.

If you want to do a swap please consider the VK56de:
Six bolt main bearings
closed deck
Titanium valves
pentaspheric combustion chambers
forged everything
super well balanced crankshaft
Also the 496lbs it weighs are the roughly the same as the VK45de and depending on source only 50-100more than a VQ37.

So little bit of update. Haven't been to active around here, mostly lurking.

Coming back to this.

Pulled the trigger on a engine to swap, probably going to get some flak for my decision....

Breakdown1.jpeg

But I feel for the deal I got on it even if it's not the famed/infamous/hated/whathaveyou gte, and having been wanting this platform since I was 14 (31 now) it was my first consideration.

So, 2jzge. Going to a NA-T build. More to come. I did finally get my backordered Depo headlights and they looks very good on the car imo

I'll be honest with you, I had considered it, but I was having trouble finding much documentation on the swap. Most of the build threads I could find for it were never completed or the owner just ghosted the forum mid build. I could have been looking in the wrong places though.

High res pics wouldnt load as they are too large.

Might try to send through my phone to see if they come out better and auto resize.

I think I found a decent deal on some replacement rods, going with some Manley H-Tuff rods. Without taking a loan out and keeping some money in my pocket inbetween checks probably will limiting to a part a check. I might splurge more though. We'll see.

Like >.> thinking bout just saying f*** it getting my suspension set with some coilovers/traction/camber arms.

ESR Wheels have been ordered as well. But they are on back order. So end of this month or beginning of November I'll have some machined lipped gloss white spoked wheels to show. Going with 19x9.5 front 19x10.5 in the back.

Been a minute since I've been able around to post. However I've acquired a few more parts. It's getting there, slowly but it's happening.

G40-900 Garrett Twin-Scroll
BC Coilover
Wheels
Turbo Mani
The engine has had the rods installed with new pistons. Also have some bc 272 cams, with bc springs and retainers installed.
