Guys

I got a chance to get on the dyno last night. Power numbers were about right what I was estimating, I am happy and the car feels strong.

The following chart was a pull done on 93 octane gas, and 18psi

A/F was a solid 11.5 all the way across to redline (after i fixed the rich dip at 5700rpms)

After doing this pull, we let the car cool for about 30 mins, and ran again, it made ~560rwhp. I then drained the gas out and we put 5 gallons of 112 Torco in. I made a few passes and checked the fuel and adjusted accordingly.

The following chart was done on 112 Torco and 20psi.

I could have probably made a decent amount more power at the same boost level by throwing some more timing at the setup, however after we got the fuel curve moderatly straightened out, it was already past midnight and I still had to get the car off the dyno, fuel up, food, a hour and a half drive home, and work at 7AM!

I am planning on heading back in the next few weeks to see if we can try and coax 650-700 out of it. Cant wait!

pulling some fuel out at 5.2-5.8 should also help your spool time, definately good numbers and i think with a bit of timing you can easily crack 700.

holy hell........ lol, thats getting serious. No sign of knock at 18 psi and 93 octane? How much timing do you have at full boost?

LOL I was thinking the same thing. ONLY 20psi? I was hoping to see something around 30 or more. Seriously nice numbers! That turbo must be flowing some serious air to push that much HP out at such a relatively low pressure level. At what rpm does your GT42 fully spool? And what turbine A/R are you running? I can't remember off the top of my head.

I believe it had tull boost (20psi) around 6500 or so, its in the logs, I cant remember.

I am running the 1.01 hotside on this setup

I would have gone higher on the boost however going over 21psi I was hitting some type of fuel cut, and I couldnt figure out what parameter was jacked up in the AEM causing me to fuel cut. I sent the calibration file off to a friend and he just called me a few mins ago and told me that the boost fuel correction table had some type of error in it. Sure enough I looked at it was showing at 19psi to add in 140% extra fuel, 21psi to add in -98% fuel, and at 24 psi to add in 185% extra fuel.......so bingo, I changed the 21psi setting to 160% like it should be, and Im for certain that was the problem.

I dont want to push this thing too much further, I am still on a stock block/head with only a tomei headgasket and arp headstuds!

Very nice, I went with Precision's .98a/r housing on my GT42, hoping for similar results when tuned.

Running stock block/head still......cant say we really have any goals. I plan on building the motor this winter, I'd like to see 800+rwhp with a built setup and big cams....

Ok, read the whole thread, what motor are you running? I assume 26 but correct me if I am wrong. And is your race fuel unleaded? I can only find up to 106 unleaded here.
