Question for for? I just bought a set of Tokico Blue shocks and struts for my 1996 Q45. I noticed that when Joe sells them (Everything Infiniti) he also sells the new dust boots with them.

Here's my question.... Should I order the new dust boots from him or go ahead and try to reuse the old, original dust boots?

As usual, your advice is appreciated!

Thanks!

i have kyb strut boots, I ordered them from tirerack

if your old dust boot is dying it maybe be a good idea to get a replacement.... you sure dont want rocks and dust getting into your shocks

You should definitely consider changing the dust boots - particularly if they are even the slightest bit torn. They are relatively inexpensive for the cost and effort. Since you have the shocks off already, it is a minor additive expense and time.

Definitely replace them! Besides the dust protection, the bump stop is built into it. Also replace the upper spring seat rubber while it's apart. Cheap stuff, well worth it.

Thanks everyone for the input. I decided to follow "911/Q45's" advice.

I ordered the dust boots and the upper and lower spring seat rubber parts. I ordered the parts from http://www.everythinginfiniti.com. Joe was at lunch and I spoke to Frank. He was very helpful.

Thanks again for the input! I'm liking that Q45 more and more each day.
