*When installing the front springs there was no way of placing them where the Eibach logo was readable. It had to be upside down although I put them right side up for the rear.

Fronts are installed incorrectly. Eibach states the proper installation is so that the logo is legible. You have the fronts in upside down, you need to flip them.Sam1ch wrote:*When installing the front springs there was no way of placing them where the Eibach logo was readable. The last picture shown is of the front spring. There was no way for us to install them with the logo being legible and the logos started to rub off. Also a DIY thread said to shave some rubber but I didn't know what exactly to shave so I didn't. What are the consequences?DJBeasy wrote:Fronts are installed incorrectly. I remember having to shave the bumpstop, and I did do that to mine. But the plastic hat that sits inside the top coil of the spring is just far too big to fit inside the top coil. But It fits perfectly in the bottom. I'm not convinced that mine aren't right side up and Eibach printed their logo upside down by mistake.DJBeasy wrote:Its a bushing that you have to shave, but I thought that was for the rear? Anyway, I couldnt even tell you what consequences could be. Springs might compress differently if the load hits from one end or the other? A few members have had the springs literally break on them. I just know that was a specific thing mentioned in the installation instructions, I like to go by the book as much as possible.
Yeeeeahhhhh. Was just making a suggestion bro, but this is cute.boystar22 wrote:![]()
I didn't purposely add that. Must have clicked the stupid thing on accident.DJBeasy wrote:Yeeeeahhhhh. Was just making a suggestion bro, but this is cute.boystar22 wrote:![]()
whats the down side of lowering on 17's? i have an 2011- 2.5s and was considering a drop on eibachsobstacle wrote:beginning with 2010, the 2.5s only get 17's. If mine were 18's, id be all over lowering mine. hence why i havent dropped...waiting til i need new tires to upgrade and lower
I'm running on 17s and I haven't noticed any downsides compared to a larger wheel. If anything the extra sidewall makes the ride slightly softer and less harsh on pot holes and rough roads. Handling wise it should be the same as an 18" wheel (if the tires are the same).DLO310 wrote:whats the down side of lowering on 17's? i have an 2011- 2.5s and was considering a drop on eibachsobstacle wrote:beginning with 2010, the 2.5s only get 17's.
