Finally got another pair of my favorite driving shoes of all time...the old school Chuck Taylors. After my last pair had an unfortunate run-in with some cat vomit, I found a nice black and red pair for cheap.

Since I've been driving with Doc Martens on, it'll be nice to actually have some pedal feel again. It feels like I've got two big bricks strapped to my feet when I'm wearing the Docs.

Yeah, those are all of my desk toys in the background.

I've got Golem, the statues from the first LOTR film, some book-end things with Gandalf and Frodo, Gollum and The Bride from Kill Bill. You can also see my antique PDA in the front. :)

Anyway, the shoes were buy one get the second pair half off at Famous Footwear (they were about $40 before the half off).

so so nice...

I wish they'd make them slightly wider though, I think I'm gonna make the jump to New Balance before long, I kinda need a running shoe anyway, maybe I'd actually start running...

the chucks are still the ultimate, though the 6 dollar water shoes I got from Wal Mart ain't bad.

I can do a pretty good Golem voice when I remember how to make the voice, ask me sometime in person and I'll try:D

Never worn a pair of chucks. I just use an old, broken in pair of Air Force 1s since all I own are Air Forces and Jordans. Jordans suck for driving longer than an hour straight. Oh and Timberlands suck even more. Doesnt help that I have size 13 feet. :(

big feet suck if you don't have cruise.

it sucks not having cc period though on long trips.

you have some Jordan I's and do they still make them?

I'm almost tempted to get some, granted I'd probably have to drop about 100 on them...

those are a good choice too, thin sole.

the chucks have a coolness to them though.

I got the little toe holes in mine now though, from where they're too narrow, seems to be a common problem with a lot of people.

my red ones are still in good shape though, being as I hardly wear them.

I think they reissued all of the Jordans. I currently wearing the blue and white 12s which are from 8 or 9 years ago. I love em, but they $134.00(glad they came out around Christmas time) and I wear them about 4-6 times a month and dont do any thing besides walk or drive with them. Same goes for my white Air Forces.

Why would you actually want "driving shoes"?

Better pedal feel and grip. Every try spaking it on some twisties in boots or Air Jordans...or like me in a pair of Rainbow flip flops? Not easy to heel toe in those. Why do you think that professional racers wear those as well as gloves? The only parts of your body that affect the motion of the car are your ahnds and feet. Do you put crap tires on?

lol. They kinda looked like golf shoes to me at first, but they grew on me and are very very comfortable.
