well as the title says, my buddy and i found a new spot for drifting. it was an old spot that we kind of forgot about as soon as one are friends left for basic. the guy who owns this store is actually really cool. he has a GTO with 650whp. but anyways he gave us permission to use the lot as we wanted as long as we didnt touch his store.we also have road blocks to block the entrance, we are also right by the interstate(i could toss a rock and hit the interstate). well i took pictures to show you all how big the lot is. (crappy pics. camera phone)

the first pic is at the beginning of the grassits an 01 F-250 and a 92 hatch that are the lil dots

the second is the tonka truck and lil hot wheels

the back lot is just as big so you see why im so stoked!!! if you look behind the truck you can see that i still have about three of my truck lengths to go before we get to the building

Just don't get a noise complaint. Once there is a complaint it doesn't matter if the the property is private or not, the fuzz can still kick you out.

Don't hit a light pole.

Biggest problem is, is that even with permission, he is not insured for that. And, legally, without a permit and insurance, its still illegal.

Plus drifting could be considered reckless endangerment.

I plan to buy my own and charge people to use it.

It is going to be AWESOME.

All in due time hahaha.

be safe OP!

Be safe and respectful!

To show your gratitude you should ask him if he needs any random labor work done around the store, maybe clean up some graffiti or something i dunno.

Have fun!

X2.

My friend had a motocross track at his house all on private property, and there was a fatal accident on the track, and the township ordered him to bull-doze the track due to not having a permit to use the land for that, and not having insurance.

OP, sorry to bust your bubble, I know how excited you must be, but deffinetly take your precautions and do your research. At least write up a waiver and make everyone that enters the premisis sign one, to protect the owner somewhat. Thats what we do at our local track.

well my dad went to school with the guy and i grew up with his daughter. but i do understand what you all are sayin. its alabama and we have cops that come out and watch us when we DO find spots that we can drift in. i got in touch with him today and he actually recommended doin a waiver for all the people who use the property. so....hopefully it all goes well

nice spot, beware of cops! with my dad being retired state police he knows that most states dont have a lot of venues for events. just be careful out there. most of the time they'll ask you to leave or just be cool and talk to him/her about it. we were at a spot by a tractor trailer loading dock and my buddy (Stripes) has a SR with a Bee*R and a guy pulled up, flashed his lights and took off like he saw a murder, next day got a phone call and asked if anyone got killed because neighbors nearby heard screaming and gun shots LMAO
