I have been trying to get info on the new Murano daytime running lights. The dealers dont know anything.

Has anyone put them on (6 led light outrageously prices at over 550)?

Does anyone have the specifics on installation and if so could you please post.

Thanks

Last week, I had the dealer install the LED daytime running lights. The kit was in stock but the parts department had difficulty finding it since it was listed as a 2010 accessory. The service department had no knowledge about it. Therefore, I benefited from a mistake in the labor quote. They estimated 1 hr ($125) but literally screamed in horror when they saw the kit. When I picked it up they only charged me an hour labor but indicated future installations would be charged 5 hrs labor.

The lights look great and I am very pleased. My only minor disappointment is that the LED lights will not work with the headlights on. So you either get the daytime running lights or the headlights, not both.

The option is pricey at $550 + $125 for labor. I would have passed on this at $550 + $625 labor since over $1K is too much.

Hi, did you get a chance to see the installation instructions. Are they so complicated that they need to be installed by a dealer? Do you have any pictures of the final look? Thanks

The final look matches what is shown on the Nissan website.

They gave me the instruction booklet which is 13 pgs. It requires removing the radiator support, front bumper grill, fender protector, splash guard, and the wheel and tire. Then installing the lights and wiring to the fuse box. You might be able to find a good mechanic who would install it for less than the dealer, but it does look too involved for a novice.
