Hey y'all! Just bought a '73 620 in pretty good shape... since I had one in high school I've always wanted to pick one up and fix it up. I finally found the one I bought a couple of weeks ago and NOW I've found this MECCA FOR DATSUNS!!!! I've enjoyed reading through the posts on this site and think it'll be a great resource for me!

I've been able to get the truck running ok, still have to rebuild the carb... but that's no problem. The first question I have for the forum is "how do I identify the engine size I have in the truck?" The truck came with an L16, according to the paperwork I was given. The question came up when I was getting some of the 'old' off the engine and engine compartment and I realized that there was an air conditioner pump bolted on. There's nothing inside the cab that was set up for air, so I'm assuming that someone has, at some time, swapped the engine out. It might be just another 1600 but I really don't know. Might be a 2000...? How can I tell?
