Driving home from rugby practice, enjoying the way the Osram CBH bulbs and new 6000k fogs light up my way, admiring the brand new dash, when out of nowhere......................

Shaped curiously, but appropriately like a wrinkly old boot in the face!
I'm not going to do anything about it right now as it's rather small and nothing else illuminates in this section of the speedo. I reckon that it will either stay like this which I can get used to, or it will expand in which case I'm going to replace the speedo. Unfortunately, the speedo cluster is one piece and you cannot just replace the section damaged. That piece, part# 248201DV0D is just under $1000. When next I have my oil / filter changed, I will have my service rep check with MaxCare to see if it is covered under my warranty.

Yes, sad. But I guess that LCD is like a computer screen: a blot suddenly and unaccountably appears to disfigure the screen.

It appeared on mine several years ago, stayed through the winter, then went away. Go figure.

OK .... This is a head - scratcher!
For the last month or so, the speedo has been miraculously cured! It went from the pic above to this:

I thought it was a fluke and fully expected to see the "wrinkly boot to the head" pixels return and remain. But no ... It is still fixed.
Maybe the pixel fairy heard my prayers?
