I know this is the Altima Coupe forum but since I'm an Altima Coupe guy, I figured I'd show this off...

First, I got a new job recently paying a lot more money and was tired of driving around a 2000 Mazda Protege beater so I decided to go for an upgrade. I wanted something that had better MPG, was semi-functional yet still had a sporty and somewhat aggressive side. In comes the 2013 Nissan Juke Nismo @ 197hp / 184tq... I know some don't like this car but it's grown on me over time with seeing it on the road.

It is the AWD 1.6L Turbo w/CVT*, has the tech package with navigation, backup camera and upgraded sound system and also tinted windows.
*Yeah, I got the CVT because this is now my daily driver.

I got a pretty decent deal on it (Into low 25k range) considering how new this model is. The biggest perks were the following...
  • 6 year, 100k Bumper-to-Bumper + Power Train Warranty (covers everything but the brakes and pads)
  • 5 years free oil changes, car washes and tire rotations
  • 3 years free key fob replacement in case of it getting broken or lost
  • 3 years free interior and exterior warranty (basically if I get any dents, minor body damage or spill something crazy inside I get it fixed for free)
So yeah, pretty cool. :)

I've never been a fan of the juke, but you gotta love your list of perks. Good looking interior as well.

This is my new daily driver and I'm not a fan of driving a manual in Dallas stop n go traffic. Funny thing though I did have an SRT4 rev at me pretty hard at a stop light today. Guy had a loud turbo. Was rather silly.

ROFL After driving this thing back behind your coupe the other night, getting back into my GS400 to go home, the steering felt like mush in comparison to the NISMOOOZ, after I went around a couple corners (a 90's Rustang GT wanted to race my boat). :(

Must be the worn bushings on my car. Yeah.

Cool dude!

I want one for a DD. The wifey will have none of it. I'm likely going to be in a Frontier though. The Nismo Juke is neat and the interior is quite awesome for the price point.

I'm one of those stubborn people that opts for rowing gears even in traffic, but I may go the automatic route in the Frontier. Had to drive my buddy's G37 last week and he has the 7AT and I was actually impressed with how it drove. I hear the CVT in the Juke Nismo is calibrated differently as well.

Haha... my wife was wondering why Ranga14 would buy the Juke when it's clearly a chick car, apparently it's too curvy to be masculine.

The new car smell inside almost made me nauseous after the round trip back to the apartment, not sure but it was a bit different than the typical new car smell from my experience.

But congrats. Hopefully, the CVT won't explode on you this time seeing how it's factory boosted +10hp.

Nice, drove one the other day and it was surprisingly agile. They're are not very big in the trunk area and the only thing Nissan needs to add is a center arm rest/console. Now we need another Dallas meet.......

Nice!!! I've been on the fence with the Juke.
I basically live down the road from Grubbs Nissan. That's were I would go to get my Oil changed.

Congrats on the new car!

Figured as soon as I buy one the Nismo RS is announced for the first of the year with enhanced torque vectoring, paddle shifters, upgraded brakes and 14 more hp.

Yeah but if you really wanted a CVT model, then you're not getting much besides seats in the RS. The CVT RS gets zero torque upgrade from where you're already sitting.

The other thing I left out was an upgraded exhaust it said but yeah, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. I just thought it was funny timing.

The Nismo RS manual trans is where they really upgraded it with an upgraded transmission, limited slip and even more HP.

You know this kinda gets on my nerves I will say. Nissan is coming out with a Nismo version of every car in their lineup but they never did won for the Coupe! :(

I agree. The Altima Coupe had a lot of potential but Nissan really never gave it any love once the pencil pushers weren't satisfied with it. I still miss my coupe from time to time. It was a great car. I would have LOVED to see the Nismo treatment there - fascia upgrades and seats and a bump in power. The AC would have gotten far too expensive, unfortunately. A Nismo 3.5 would probably hit the mid $30k range, which very few would go for.

The seats in the Nismo cars are nuts, especially the Juke's. I really wish it was out when I had to add doors to my DD. My MS3 is a blast, but it's very uncomfortable to me compared to others in the class, especially the WRX. My 370Z is a far more comfortable car than the MS3, if that tells you anything.

FYI - all of you. Getting married makes your car situation hard when you planned it all out while single. LOL

Yeeeeap. However, I only did sell mine to potentially save some money and add 2 more doors as well -- after my wife and I had a new baby. Sometimes I think I shoulda stuck it out. :gapteeth:

But yeah, going from the base pricing on the 3.5 and up, the Nismo Coupe would have gotten well into the 370Z price range thanks to ridonkulous overpriced packages and junk they love to push, especially at the dealers. I just want a friggin performance upgrade, not leather seats, nav, and seat pockets and whatever else Nissan thinks someone buying a Nismo _performance enchanced_ car would want.
