I had a garage replace my right front CV acle on my 2016 AWD rogue and I noticed after it had a slight vibration and a little bit of lurch and low speeds in parking lots. The steering wheel does not shake but I can slight feel the vibration at highway speeds. I just had new tires installed and balanced as well as a 4 wheel alignment.

I have read about the issues with after market axles after the work was done and I noticed the issue and I wish I would have asked the OEM part back from the shop at the time, had I known it was going to be a problem. The axle they installed is NI-8470 TrakMotive. Does anyone have any experience with axles that replicate OEM operation? I also read that aftermarket do not have the dampner on the axle shaft and Nissans OEM does (not sure how much of a difference this makes).

I have to take the car back in as it was leaking from the Transfer case where the seal is. Garage is replacing seal which to my understanding should have been done in the first place according the the repair manual. I figured while they were doing the work I would get them to swap out the axle.

Lastly does this very mil vibration, does it cause any problems for the vehicle if left as is?

I put a cardone on my 09 and same thing after a few hundred miles. In the process of replacing that one, the other started clicking. I put a napa shaft on and it was so good I replaced the cardone. They were new and not remanned fyi. That was on my 09. If I needed one on my newer cars I’d probably go oem after trying Napa again. I’d check your ball joints as that could be a source as well.
