Hey guys,

Picked up my silver 2011 Altima Coupe 3.5 SR 6mt today. I was going to get the Accord coupe up until I took a closer look at the Altima. Both have their +/- but I just fell I love the styling of the Nissan. I'm coming from a Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with the 5.7.

I'm planning on making a few mods over the next 6 months and had a few questions.

I found it had to much body roll when cornering at medium speeds. Are lowering springs a must for flatter cornering or would beefier sway bars and end links do the trick? I was hoping to stay away from lowering it do to our winter climate. Plus I like the stance of the vehicle as it is.

I was also thinking of adding spacers. What's the max width I can use without running into any problems? 10mm?

I didn't get the tech package as the dealer wanted $3100 for it :wtf2: . I'm looking to get a double din deck with nav and BT. Is the center part of the dash with the tech package a double din?

Nismo exhaust and a short throw shifter are on order. :dblthumb:

Anyways... just wanted to say hello, and thanks for the info.

Currently in Guelph, moving to the city in a couple of months. Any issues with your Eibachs in the snow?

Great looking ride.

Nice.. Once you move to the city maybe you and I and other ppl living in T.O can have ourselves a little meet :mike . I own a Nissan Rogue so I park my AC for the long winter months. If you're going to drive the car during the s*** winter then I suggest grabbing some coils so you car lower and raise the car. Ps... Lowering the car will give you way better controll during cornering. If you're going to beat the s*** outta the car on corners then definitely lower and add a front and rear strut.

Welcome! to help out with your cornering issues, definitely get a rear sway bar; you can definitely feel the difference. lowering also nets you a sizeable improvement in cornering; the higher your car sits the higher the center of gravity, thus you are more prone to body roll. eibachs would only drop you about 1.5", so you shouldn't have to worry too much about scraping. as for spacers, i'm not quite sure what the stock offset is for the wheels (i'll assume +45), so i suppose 10mm should be fine.

Eibach and Rear sway make the biggest difference, then grab a racingline front stb to finish it off IMO

Although I'm a new guy too and don't know much about this specific car, I know a fair bit about suspensions. If you're concerned about the roll rate (roll in corners) of your car, you want to look at the sway bars. While stiffer coils will stiffen the roll rate, they will also stiffen the ride rate to an uncomfortable and perhaps undesirable level. To sum it up, coils control ride rate and roll rate, but sway bars only affect roll rate. Alot of people make the mistake of stiffening up the coils to get a flatter car, but then it feels like you're riding on rocks because your suspension will jump over everything in the straights. If you can lower the car while keeping the same spring rate (stifness), this will increase the roll stiffness as well.

Im from Hamilton Ontario, just joined not too long ago as well, I drive my coupe all winter with winter tires, and it literally plows through anything and im in a rural area. I was pushing snow with the front bumper and the car kept on going lol. I plan on installing the eibach pro kit soon, i just got it delivered. There is a Toronto Altima club forum, they hold meets often as well.

Welcome to the forum, good to see another coupe in the GTA. I have the eibachs and had no problems in the winter.
