Drove home from the dealer in the San Fransisco area - four hour drive. Next day gassed up (premium at Costco) and rolled around. Got the SES light...yes, I checked - cap is tight on the filler.

Was at the dealer at 0730 this morning.

Tech says the code is for the cat; they got on the phone with Nissan Tech Support.

New cat in about 2 days.

This is NOT an auspicious start for my first-ever Nissan product...

Well, at least it's something they can point to right now.

Chin up, in generl, the reliability (at least on this forum) has been pretty good. More complaints about the dealers than the car.

But, like all car, there's bound to be a few issues, especially on a new car model and year.

None-the-less, hope you have good luck and that this is the end of any issues for you.

may not be clogged cat, just a mis-reporting sensor.

Mom's new Honda Pilot was driving for about 30 min, all the sudden the vehicle complained the gas cap wasn't tight. 10 min later (without doing anything) the warning went away, and never returned (never touched the gas cap during that time)
