Installed Z1 TT mild performance clutch kit on my 1991 300zx tt with a lightweight cromoly flywheel (12lbs) and cannot figure out why it is slipping when in high rpms? First I adjusted the clutch pedal according to Z32 wiki with the 2 switches screwed flush with the bracket. Still slipped. Next i adjusted it again so the clutch would engage more towards the floor. still slipping especially in 3rd and 4th gears mainly after 4000 rpm. I bled the system last year and it worked fine with the old clutch. I dont know if i need to adjust the pedal more or what? I also just installed new exhaust manifolds from AMS. Help please? Thank You

Have you tried contacting Z1? It sounds like the clutch pressure plate may have been misaligned when isntalled.

Hello, I contacted Z1 and they said it could slip if a proper break in procedure of like 500 miles wasnt done? Is this true? my buddy said he replaced his and went racing the same day and it was fine. When i installed mine the clutch pedal was disengaging right at the top. They said to drive it for a few hundred mile lightly and see if that helps, if not it may have gotten glazed and need to replace clutch disk. Is this sound right? THank You

Yes, improper break in will wreak havoc on any friction part. There are different schools of thought for clutch and brake bed-in/break-in. You should read up on both.

Before freaking out too much, check that the slave cylinder is fully engaging. Sometimes hyper-extending them can cause an internal leak. They are very easy to replace.
