new clutch slipping?

i just installed a new clutch like maybe a month ago n now its slippnig its oem preformance so is it that it just plainout sucks? or do i need to break it in? or did i install it wrong? HELP!

i just recently did a twin plate job on my s13.

according to this turbomagazine and the "cto" of ACT, clutch slippage is usually caused by:

oil contamination,worn friction material (not likely if you just changed your clutch),or lack of clamping power.

have you checked your clutch fluid? how is it shifting between gears?

Or the clutch pedal is out of adjustment, and the clutch is not engaging 100%. Make sure it "catches" at least 1-1.15" down of pedal depression. Turn the clutch pedal rod to adjust.

you need to break it in.. most clutch kits have about a 500 mile break in period

Either its not fully engaging like scottydog said or the pressure plate got glazed over, did you have it resurfaced? check all aspects of the release mechanism the clutch master,slave, fork,boot ext...

yea it was all bout breaking it in, sorry if i waisted u guys time........ i thought 500 miles of breaking was a little much for oem preformance but its grabing like a dream now, thnx for all the suggestions, much respect
